  1. Form of the suffix ـی for words that end in the short vowel ـه (-e)
    مردانه (mardâne, masculine, manly) + ـگی (gi) = مردانگی (mardânegi, masculinity, manliness)
    برهنه (berahne, naked, nude) + ـگی (gi) = برهنگی (berahnegi, nudity)
Usage notes[edit]

Usually only forms nouns from adjectives. Most adjectives formed from nouns ending in -e use the non-joining form ای (-i).
