  1. (IPA Braille) the diacritic ⟨◌᷆⟩ of the International Phonetic Alphabet
  2. (IPA Braille) the diacritic ⟨⟩ of the International Phonetic Alphabet

Usage notes

[edit]

The official value is the tone diacritic ⟨◌᷆⟩. However, it is also the result of superscripting the schwa vowel ə, a superscript provided for by the IPA Handbook. As few languages contain both, neither usage is likely to be ambiguous in practice.
