relative superlative (plural relative superlatives)

  1. (grammar) the superlative (a degree of comparison) when it is used to express the highest degree of something in relation to something else
  2. (grammar) In Greek: one of the degrees of comparison of an adjective, the equivalent in English of the superlative, similar to the comparative superlative used in Spanish. Compare with absolute superlative.
    Ο χειρότερος is the relative superlative form of κακός.
