הִתִּיז • (hitíz) third-singular masculine past (hif'il construction)

1. to splash, to sprinkle
2. (archaic) to decapitate
   • a. 217 C.E., Mishnah, Chullin 2:3:

     הִתִּיז אֶת הָרֹאשׁ בְּבַת אַחַת, פְּסוּלָה.

     [If] one decapitated the head in one blow, it is invalid.
