- Third-person plural vav-consecutive perfect (hence future tense) of אָמַר (amár).
- Tanach, Exodus 3:13, with translation of the King James Version:
- וְאָמְרוּ־לִי מַה־שְּׁמוֹ
- v'am'ru-lí ma-sh'mó
- and they shall say to me, What is his name?
