1. Third-person plural vav-consecutive perfect (hence future tense) of הָיָה (hayá).

     וְהָיוּ הַמַּיִם אֲשֶׁר תִּקַּח מִן הַיְאֹר וְהָיוּ לְדָם בַּיַּבָּשֶׁת
