Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *ökče (“heel”); cognate with Azerbaijani ökcə, Bashkir үксә (üksə), Kazakh өкше (ökşe), Kyrgyz өкчө (ökcö), Southern Altai энчек (enček), Tatar үкчә (ükçä), Turkmen ökje and Uyghur ئوكچە (okche).

- heel, the rear part of the foot, where it joins the leg
- heel, the part of a shoe or sock that covers the foot's heel
- spur on a door that supports it, and turns in a socket in the threshold
