Etymology[edit]
From ܐܸܛܪܘܼܓܵܐ (iṭruggā, “citron”) + ܚܸܠܝܵܐ (ḥilyā, “sweet”) coined as substitute for the common Arabism ܦܘܼܪܬܩܵܠܵܐ (purtqālā).
