Likely from a variant form of the verb ܗܵܘܹܐ (hāwē, “to be”), forming unattested *ܝܲܗܘܲܚ (*yahwaḥ) or a corruption of ܗܵܘܲܚ (hāwaḥ) both having elements of ܐܲܚܢܲܢ (aḥnan, “us”).
