Cognate with Assamese পা (pa), Bengali পা (pa), Dhivehi ފައި (fai), Gujarati પાય (pāya), Hindi पाँव (pā̃v), Rajasthani पाय, Domari pɔw, Sinhalese පය (paya), Konkani पाय (pāy).
