Cognate with Northern Thai ᩉᩣ᩠ᨾ, Lao ຫາມ (hām), ᦠᦱᧄ (ḣaam), Tai Dam ꪬꪱꪣ, Shan ႁၢမ် (hǎam), Bouyei raaml, Zhuang ram, Saek หร่าม.
