Etymology

From Old Georgian ფსელი (pseli), ultimately from Proto-Kartvelian *ps- (to urinate) of onomatopoeic origin. Cognate with Mingrelian ფსელა (psela), სელა (sela), ფსეა (psea) and Laz ფსელი (pseli), მსელი (mseli).
