   • 1994, Louis de Bernières, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Minerva, published 1995, page 82:

     Her relative stood dumbfounded, cried out incredulously, wheeled about with his clenched fists raised in the air, performed three steps of a kalamatianos for sheer joy, and then rocked her in his arms exclaiming ‘Efkharisto, efkharisto,’ over and over again.
