To fix

[edit]

Need to fix handling of "е" - "je" after vowels, beginning of a word, ь and ъ, "e" - otherwise. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 00:20, 12 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

All that works now: еиеьеъеме → [MODULE CALL REDACTED]. I removed the {{attention}}. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 17:51, 17 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I have fixed it but forgot to removed the tag. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 23:37, 17 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Broken for traditional Mongolian script as used in Inner Mongolia, China

[edit]

I'm currently in Ulaanbaatar after having passed through Inner Mongolia.

I'm learning a bit of the language and the traditional script.

This module is broken for traditional script:

  • It forces a transliteration even when one is provided.
  • It forces a transliteration even if script is specified as "Mong" in the various templates.
  • The traditional script spellings are less phonetic than the Cyrillic ones and often have redundant silent letters which should be reflected in a transliteration but not in a phonetic transcription.

Let's start improving the situation. — hippietrail (talk) 17:42, 7 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

I added a function to transliterate the traditional Mongolian script, open to improvement. Wyang (talk) 14:57, 11 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
