From Nazarite +‎ -ship, a calque of Hebrew נזירות (nzirút, asceticism, monkhood), from נזיר (nazír, nazarite, monk, ascetic) + ־וּת (-út, -ness, -ism, -ity, -hood), from נִזַּר (nizár, to separate).
