@Atitarev, Cinemantique, Wikitiki89, Wanjuscha, KoreanQuoter Anatoli or Wikitiki, can you check etyms 4 and 5? I doubt these are actually separate etymologies, rather slang extensions of one of the other meanings, although I don't know which one(s). Benwing2 (talk) 03:44, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Benwing2 Done. Do you have anything on Wiktionary:Beer_parlour/2017/January#Appendix_for_Russian_patronymics? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 05:59, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Benwing2, Atitarev: Furthermore, I think the sense to "heat" and to "melt/thaw" should be under the same etymology header as well. Also, I think the slang senses that were moved fit better with the "stoke (an oven)" sense. --WikiTiki89 16:13, 19 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Etimology 3 sunk in sense down is a descedant from ideaphone "top-top" (step-step) but: 3. (slang) to support (a club or political party) in opposite in sense up , to top (Germanic) I think to combine etimologies 1 and 2, and separate new etimology for топить (in sense up, to top) Sherdim (talk) 07:43, 8 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
