i wonder if this word is not a synonym of childhood after all, but a neologism coined spcifically to avoid using the word childhood when referring to a metaphorical sense of the word child. I notice that the German translation is also different.Soap 14:07, 20 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Alternatively it could be more closely tied to child (offspring) whereas childhood refers to child (young person). i added a few cites, but theyre from QQ, so the context isnt all that clear. Soap 08:33, 21 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
