British? I do know this is very widely used in the US. Is it used in the UK, or was the entry trying to say that "glove compartment" is the British equivalent...getting the tags perfectly backwards? --Connel MacKenzie 20:31, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I always heard and used it in the US as glove compartment; glove box was something heard on TV shows from the BBC or Thames (The Avengers ;-). glove box was definitely the British form. But then what do I know about "deshboards"? Robert Ullmann 20:37, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
searching on "glove compartment" turns up references to US legal code among lots of US references; searching on "glove box" (without the medical references) turns up references to (e.g.) the Mini Cooper ;-) Wikipedia says "glove comaprtment, glove box in British usage) ...
