Morbid condition?[edit]

Though not being a medicine expert, I doubt imflammation in medicine is a morbid condition. Wikipedia article on inflammation says:

Inflammation is the complex biological response of vascular tissues to harmful stimuli, such as pathogens, damaged cells, or irritants. It is a protective attempt by the organism to remove the injurous stimuli as well as initiate the healing process for the tissue.

A correction from an expert would be welcome.

When translating to Czech, zánět is a correct translation of the medical term, which however does not fit to any of the meanings currently listed, to my knowledge anyway. --Daniel Polansky

Is inflamation also correct?[edit]

Is this an alternate spelling? If not, there are a couple of definitions (e.g., appendicitis) where this misspelling occurs which can be found by a simple search. Cheers, 74.242.250.47 03:01, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
