Antonym

[edit]

wondering if one exists, if Speedy and Robin are sidekicks, what is the complementary role we describe Batman and Green Arrow as being? Wards? Mentors? 64.228.91.102 09:07, 13 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

There isn't really an antonym because sidekicks are defined in terms of the main character (they are at his or her side). Nobody starts with a side character and creates a main character later. Your suggestions are good though: "mentor" makes sense in most cases. Equinox 09:11, 13 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

something about food

[edit]

Pizza Express restaurants in the UK are currently offering "warm, breaded whole chicken breast with rocket, shaved Gran Milano cheese and roasted tomatoes, served with a little pesto sidekick". Not so much a side dish as a relish, I suppose. Have they chosen this term at random or does it have a general culinary sense? Equinox 00:32, 9 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
