There's a verb sense, from classic cel(uloid) animation, which is almost certainly the basis for the Macromedia sense. -dmh 12:50, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

All three senses other than the main sense: there is one fictional reference and two proprietary ones, none with independent, widespread use. Dmcdevit·t 01:58, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Holy crap! We still have Primetime copyvios laying around? What for? --Connel MacKenzie 06:02, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I deleted the Primetime entry, as it was a likely copyvio, and rebuilt the entry from scratch. In the process of doing so, the disputed senses disappeared... — Beobach972 15:42, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rfv-sense: "A person who is in his or her twenties."

Wasn't me. TeleComNasSprVen (talk) 00:36, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Used in that sense by Tolkien in Lord of the Rings, but he probably made it up for that book. I have no idea if it saw any use independent of him. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 17:24, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
Can you add the Tolkien citation, and I'll try to look for others. --WikiTiki89 18:28, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
I added the Tolkien quote, but strictly speaking it isn't for tween in the sense of 'person in their twenties' but rather for tweens in the sense of 'period of life between 20 and 32'. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 09:58, 31 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
I was going to say Lord of the Rings is a well-known work, but the citation shows tween is an in-universe term. — Ungoliant (falai) 11:22, 31 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
Somehow the same Tolkien quote got added twice (albeit from different editions), but attesting different senses. That makes no sense to me. --WikiTiki89 18:30, 31 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
Kept it where it makes sense, per Angr. DAVilla 06:18, 6 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
