Usage

[edit]

A template for displaying conjugation forms of Czech verbs of the pattern začít.

Parameters

[edit]
Parameter Meaning Note
1 base of the verb without the ending, for example zač for začít
2 "n" for verbs which need it after the base in their present forms, such ase zač-ítzač-n-u Not filled with verbs which do not need it, such as obejm-outobejm-u
aspect generates the note about future tense, which depends on the aspect of the verb and decides whether present or past transgressives are shown Possible values:
  • "imperfective" (or alternatively "imperfect", "impf", "imp" or "i")
  • "perfective" (or alternatively "perfect", "pf" or "p") – this is the default value, so it is not necessary to fill
  • "pf-impf" (or alternatively "p-i" or "pi") – for verbs which can have both aspects
past alternative form of the past participle can be filled The past participle can be filled if the verb has a different form of past participles than adding -al to the base (začal), for example sejmoutsejmul.
past2 another alternative form of the past participle
past3 one more alternative form of the past participle
pass It can prevent passive to be shown or alternative form of the passive can be filled The value "no" causes that no passives are filled if the verb does not have passive forms. Another option is to fill in the passive form if the verb has a different form of passive than -at (začat), for example sejmoutsňat.
pass2 another alternative form of the passive
pass3 one more alternative form of the passive
pass ns passive neutral singular The value "yes" enables to show passive neutral singular form of the verb in cases when the verb does not form other passive voice forms, which are disabled by the parameter "pass".
tr1 pres masculine present transgressive, not necessary to fill for imperfective verbs (fills automatically)
tr2 pres feminine present transgressive, not necessary to fill for imperfective verbs (fills automatically); generates plural present transgressive too
tr past masculine past transgressive, not necessary to fill for perfective verbs which form it simply by adding -av; generates feminine a plural past transgressive too
tr past2 alternative past transgressive Some verbs have two forms of past transgressives, such as sejmout.
