I think some of these colours are just poorly labelled. The most "purple" colour to me is the middle one from "violet; indigo", and not any of the three from "magenta; purple" (which contain too much red or too little blue). Similarly if I had to choose one "pink" it would probably be the hot pink from the middle of "magenta", and not the anaemic one under "pink". Equinox ◑ 21:10, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

The one currently labelled "violet" I'd be inclined to call "lilac", because it seems too pale to be "violet" for me.... (And even after checking images online related to "violet" and "lilac".) I'd say "violet" is rather somewhere from "purple" to "indigo".
