self-elevation (countable and uncountable, plural self-elevations)
- (of a person or group) elevation of oneself in one's own mind
- Humility and care for others are the important qualities lacking in our self-preoccupations and self-elevations.
- (computing) elevation of one's own user privilege level (usually to run software that requires a higher privilege level)
- User self-elevation occurs when mobile, remote, or power users need to run software that is usually run by only users with administrator-level permissions.
