From Old Galician-Portuguese [Term?], from Hispanic Late Latin turbiscus, idem, attested by Isidore of Seville; from Vulgar Latin *turbiscāre, from Latin turbō, turbāre (I disturb). Compare Portuguese trovisco, Spanish torvisco.
