[edit]From Proto-Vietic *duːk, from some form of Chinese 鑿 (OC *[dz]ˤawk) (B-S) (SV: tạc). Cognate with Thavung tuk⁷ ("burin"), Iu Mien zuqc and White Hmong txaug.
