  1. to scrape, to scratch, to grate, to graze, to rasp, to plane, to polish
    քերել առkʻerel aṙto graze, to touch slightly
    քերել առ ափամբքkʻerel aṙ apʻambkʻto skirt, to coast along, to keep close to the shore
    քերել զափամբքkʻerel zapʻambkʻto go terra a terra, to sail along the coast
  2. to erase, to scratch out
  3. to rub the skin off, to excoriate, to flay, to lacerate, to torture
  4. to take away, to remove, to annul
    զամօթն ի բաց քերելzamōtʻn i bacʻ kʻerelto lay aside all sense of shame
  5. to engrave, to inscribe, to write
