Inherited from Proto-Turkic *oklagu (rolling pin); cognate with Bashkir уҡлау (uqlaw), Karakhanid [script needed] (oqlağu), Kazakh оқтау (oqtau), Tatar уклау (uqlaw) and Uzbek oʻqlov.
