Etymology[edit]
From پرگار (perger, “pair of compasses”) + ـلامق (-lamak, suffix forming infinitives from nouns or adjectives).

پرگارلامق • (pergerlemek)
- (transitive) to compass, to encircle, surround, or measure with a pair of compasses
- (transitive, figuratively) to contrive, devise, to invent by an exercise of ingenuity
- Synonym: تصارلامق (tasarlamak)
