From Proto-Mon-Khmer *ckəh (dry). Cognate with Northern Khmer คัฮ, Mon သ္ကဟ် (kɔh, skah), Proto-Nyah-Kur *cəkaj, Bulo Stieng [script needed] (kə:h, kʰə:h).
