Etymology 1[edit]
From Proto-Finnic *-ksi, from Proto-Uralic *-kse. Related to Erzya -кс (-ks, translative suffix) and Moksha -кс (-ks, translative suffix).
Suffix[edit]
-ksi (with a possessive suffix -kse-)
- used to form the translative case
- hakata ananas murskaksi ― to beat a pineapple to pulp
- used to form the long first infinitive, with the meaning "in order to"; always used with a possessive suffix
- ostaakseen ― in order to buy
