Proposition to consider adding[edit]
My ears and experience (and a bit of education many decades ago) tell me the following might be considered onomatopoeic. I am not a native English speaker, so I propose here for consideration.

- sob - also fits to one of sound patterns expressing/accompanying sorrow, desperation...
