ما هو شيء
[edit]Isn't giving مَا هُوَ شَيْء (mā huwa šayʔ) as the etymon a bit like claiming "not" to be a direct reflex of "ne + a + wiht" rather than "ne + awiht"? I don't know how to verify that مَا...ـش (mā...-š) had indeed been grammaticalized before being applied to pronouns like هُو (hū), though. —M. I. Wright (talk, contribs) 08:21, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
