Also adverb?

[edit]

Can this also be an adverb (meaning "frequently")? 71.66.97.228 19:53, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

In Japanese, add the particle (ni) afterwards: 常に (tsune ni) is the adverbial form. -- Eiríkr Útlendi │ Tala við mig 22:13, 22 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Chengdu sang2

[edit]

@Prisencolin How can we be sure that shang2 in Chinese lessons for first year students in West China would be pronounced as sang2? I don't think Sichuanese Pinyin can account for the Sichuanese used a century ago, so I would say we should avoid putting them here. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 05:05, 21 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not sure about the Chinese Lessons book any more, but the dialectical data table on this page lists sang as the Chengdu pronunciation for 常.--Prisencolin (talk) 06:19, 21 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
OK, I removed the note about it being archaic. The table could be unreliable, though. — justin(r)leung (t...) | c=› } 06:45, 21 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
