The English etymology looks really sketchy.
Pronunciation[edit]
Probably the pronunciation I would naturally use would sound like "Ooze Becka Stan" (Ooze as ooze out of something; Stan as in Stanley). So with respect to 'stan' that's already different from the recording, which sounds like 'stahn'. Now there may be another reading too where it doesn't start with "Ooze" but instead "Oz" as in Wizard of Oz. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 17:09, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
