Is there any kind of usage policy for this template? When should it be added, and for which purpose?
I know I'm happy to respond to people's requests to translate words into languages I know. Many of them look sensible, but some are rather random. I'd be happier to do this, knowing that it actually helps a particular person. I'd suggest using it sparingly, and only for combinations of words and languages that interest the editor who adds the template for a particular reason. Otherwise, it just randomly adds to the backlog in Category:Requests for translations by language.
