Pronunciation

[edit]

Noun

[edit]

anötö (possessed anötöi)

  1. fishhook

Usage notes

[edit]

Hall defines this word in a form equivalent to anöötö (with a non-phonemic long vowel) as “fishhook” and in a form equivalent to anötö as “fishnet”; the latter definition seems to be in error, since all other souces define the word as “fishhook”, unless perhaps the meaning of the word is broad enough to cover both tools.
