Cimbrian

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

Probably from Old High German folgēn (to follow), whence also bòlgan (to obey) (see there for more). Does not follow regular f > b sound change; perhaps influenced by Standard German folgen. This etymology is incomplete. You can help Wiktionary by elaborating on the origins of this term.

Verb
