1. (transitive) To fill with a load of cargo or similar.

2. (intransitive) To receive a load of cargo or similar.

   The wagon halted for an hour to load up with supplies.

   Let's stop at the off-licence and load up on booze and snacks.

3. (idiomatic, transitive, intransitive) To fully load (a weapon).
4. (computing, transitive, intransitive) To load (software) fully into memory.
