From a diminutive form of Proto-Slavic *gornъ ((flower)pot), out of which Macedonian грне (grne, ceramic pot) comes. Compare Belarusian гаршчо́к (harščók), Ukrainian го́рщик (hórščyk), горщо́к (horščók).
