Borrowed from Old Church Slavonic приѩтьнъ (prijętĭnŭ, acceptable, pleasant), from Old Church Slavonic приѩтъ (prijętŭ, received, accepted) + -ьнъ (-ĭnŭ). Equivalent to прия́т(ый) (priját(yj)) +‎ -ный (-nyj). Compare Ukrainian прийня́тний (pryjnjátnyj, acceptable).
