Particularly: “Curious about the initial consonant cluster. This appears to be a collapsed syllable, indicating a possible compound, perhaps something like /pəstaj/? What would this derive from? Is that medial /-s-/ the genitive infix? Curious too about the rising tone on the diphthong -- any chance that the latter /taj/ might in turn be from an earlier bisyllabic form, with an elided consonant? Perhaps a medial /-k-/ or /-ɡ-/, as postulated at Korean (sae), but missing from the etym at Middle Korean (say)?”
