Luxembourgish

Etymology

[edit]

From aus (out) +‎ Drock (pressing, pressure), after German Ausdruck, a backformation from ausdrücken (to express) in the one sense and ausdrucken (to print out) in the other. (In Luxembourgish, one may consider Ausdrock a single noun as the distinction between the underlying verbs does not exist.)
