[edit]New Latin, from Ancient Greek λαβύρινθος (labúrinthos, “maze”) + ὀδούς (odoús, “tooth”) + -ia.

- (informal, paleontology) A taxonomic subclass within the class Amphibia – extinct amphibians rather like crocodiles, supposedly ancestral to all terrestrial vertebrates; the group is now considered polyphyletic.
