@Atitarev An IP user deleted the expression есть поедом, is this a real expression? Benwing2 (talk) 02:52, 11 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it's idiomatic. Here's the definition: [1] "to make smb.'s life a misery by nagging". Standard accent is "поедо́м", common colloquial "по́едом". --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:12, 11 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Is there any proof that etymology 3 is borrowed from English? --5.141.125.129 21:37, 25 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Of course there is. The etymology 3 has a reference added by User:Useigor. Sorry, we don’t cater for poor eyesight.—Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 00:12, 26 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

несть

[edit]

In some older Russian or today's (Russianized) Church Slavonic texts, "ne est'" can be written as несть. Noteworthy? These are the same texts that use all the inflections of the verb быть.

For example: Не надейтеся на князи, на сыны человеческия, / в нихже несть спасения. 2001:1C02:1990:A900:F9A6:1C36:245F:A6AD 10:02, 29 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
The word exists and can be added. You chose a wrong place to discuss or request it (talk pages have low visibility). I will add it later. Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 12:05, 29 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
