A French pub[edit]

Err... really? Anyone heard of this? Renard Migrant (talk) 16:25, 11 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Definitely wrong. Needs deleting. How has it remained here for ten and a half years? Dbfirs 16:31, 11 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
After fifteen and a half years (!), I've removed it. If anyone's in any doubt, the relevant definition of café is: "Établissement, lieu public où l’on consomme des boissons plutôt non alcoolisées"; pubs are first and foremost about beer and cider. Although the word pub is also used in French as a loanword, the native word which is closest to the proper meaning is brasserie.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 21:10, 4 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
