rfv-sense. "To twist someone's words to fit a desired meaning that was not intended by the speaker." I don't think that this specific purpose is inherent in the word, though I have done it myself often enough. DCDuring TALK 17:42, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

How are those not just specific examples of the already listed definition? To twist someone's words means to make them more obfuscated or complex, which is what the other definition says. - [The]DaveRoss 19:06, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
