Travelling-couvert

Chambers 1908 has travelling-couvert, defined as "a set of table utensils, arranged to pack up easily for travelling". Judging by Google Books, this is a rare phrase, but it's interesting that our current sense at couvert ("a cover charge") is not really related. Equinox 21:55, 7 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
