Following up on this to check if any citations have become available (following a recent, now reverted re-addition by someone of this as a plural of moose), the only book I can find that uses moose + moosak has it explicitly not as English:
  • 1747, Daniel Neal, The History of New-England [...] to the Year of Our Lord, 1700. To which is Added, the Present State of New-England [...], page 203:
