Introduction

[edit]

This template is used to generate an entry for German adjectival noun forms (e.g. the form Guten of the adjectival nouns Guter m, Gute f and Gutes n), and automatically lists the appropriate inflections for the non-lemma form in question. Normally it takes one parameter, the gender(s), and automatically infers the lemma(s) and inflection(s) to display.

For example, if used on the page Erwachsene as follows:

{{de-adj noun forms of|mn}}

the result will be:

Noun

[edit]

Erwachsene m

  1. inflection of Erwachsener:
    1. strong nominative/accusative plural
    2. weak nominative singular

Noun

[edit]

Erwachsene n

  1. inflection of Erwachsenes:
    1. strong nominative/accusative plural
    2. weak nominative/accusative singular

Note how the appropriate headers, headwords and definitions are automatically generated.

Parameters

[edit]

The following parameters are recognized:

|1= (required)
Gender(s) of the non-lemma form in question. Some combination of m, f and n.
|level=LEVEL
Level of the header(s) to generate. Defaults to 3.
|etymno=NUM or |etym=NUM
If specified, separate etymology sections will be generated for each gender, numbered starting with the specified number. If either of these parameters is used, |level= should not be given (and will automatically be set at 4).
|pagename=
Page name to use in place of the actual pagename; only needed for testing and documentation purposes.
